Maybe you’re one of many people who experienced stress induced hair loss in the past year—or perhaps you’re navigating the joys of postpartum life and all that comes with it, including a halo of budding baby hairs that refuse to lie flat.

Whatever the cause of your hairline frizz, we’ve got just the thing for you: the Slick Stick.

As our colleague Ali demonstrates above, this mascara-sized wonder lives up to its cheeky name and slicks back flyaway hairs with a few quick swipes of the wand. “It works so well—like pure magic, really. It slicks your hair back flawlessly without leaving it hard or crusty like hair spray does. And I can easily fit it in my purse whenever I go out, so I can touch up flyaways whenever I need,” she raves.

This hyper-enthusiastic review prompted a closer look at the ingredient list for us, which was shockingly minimal. With only eight ingredients including jojoba oil and evening primrose, we can see why the Slick Stick is able to smooth down hair sans any crunchy residue.

It’s also cruelty free, vegan friendly and suitable for all hair types (though if you have curlier hair or a more stubborn cowlick you may need to layer it on). On that note, the application is also a breeze thanks to its mascara wand-like tip, which targets specific areas of frizz down to the individual strand, unlike hairspray, which casts a wide net.

With the holidays slowly approaching, we’re just going to put it out there that a Slick Stick would make a great stocking stuffer or a White Elephant gift this year.
