The transformative power of a good hair day can’t be overstated, but all too often the products you need to achieve such a day cost an arm and a leg. That’s why we’re freaking out a little bit over a line we just discovered: Kristin Ess Hair.
Created by celebrity hairstylist Kristin Ess (she’s worked with celebs like Lucy Hale, Lauren Conrad and Jenna Dewan Tatum), the line is available exclusively at Target, and each of the 36 pieces costs less than $15. While it’s not technically brand new (it launched last January), it’s been gaining speed as of late and finally flew onto our radar. Needless to say, we’re hooked.
Despite the affordable price, this stuff is seriously high quality. We love the Extra Gentle Shampoo ($10) for cleansing without stripping moisture and the Refine Signature Finishing Spray ($14) for a light, buildable hold. Our absolute favorite, though, is the Weightless Shine Working Serum ($14). Our editor who tried it says that, in addition to smelling incredible, it added subtle shine without weighing down her hair or making it look greasy. Yup, sold.
Oh, and did we mention it’s, like, really pretty? Because it is. Think: super-minimalist packaging and a color scheme of white, black and millennial pink. It’s the kind of stuff you’ll happily display in your bathroom—or on Instagram.
