The worst part about working out? Spending hundreds of dollars on a membership, of course. (We’d much rather use that cash for wine.) So what if we told you there’s a host of free fitness classes in Miami? We’ve rounded up the best workouts that won’t cost you a dime. What’s your excuse now?

1. Yoga at Bayfront Park

Every day of the week, yogis can join a free session at the Tina Hills Pavilion near the south side of Bayfront Park or next door at Bayfront’s neighboring Maurice A. Ferré Park. Psst: These classes are by donation, so chip in a few bucks, won’t cha?

2. Squat and Stretch at a Fitbit Local Sweat Sesh

Fitbit Local hosts a free boot camp, led by top trainers, somewhere in Miami once a month. Think of it as an all-in-one: You’ll focus on body-weight-based moves, take part in a few resistance exercises and beef up your endurance with interval training. Gal Gadot arms, here we come.

3. Yoga, Cycling and Walking with the Underline

As we patiently await the completion of the Underline (the soon-to-be ten-mile linear park under the Miami Metrorail), we’ll settle for free monthly workouts (yoga, cycling, running and walking) sponsored by the nonprofit Friends of the Underline.

4. Join a Run Club

Calling all ladies living in Kendall, South Beach, Brickell, Coral Gables and Homestead. Baptist Health brings together local runners for an hour-long jog at least once a week.

5. Dance Your Way Through Zumba

Shimmy into a free Zumba class at one of five locations across the Magic City, all sponsored by Baptist Health. Yep, working out just got a lot more fun.

6. Yoga and Meditation at Third Street Beach

Trek all the way to the end of Miami Beach any day of the week and find classes at 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. (5 p.m. in winter). Fact: Chair pose is 78% more enjoyable when you’re gazing out at the waves.

7. Full-Body Workout at IKEA

No, we’re not here for the Swedish meatballs. (OK, maybe a little.) But first, take part in IKEA’s Wellness Saturday, complete with everything from meditation to Zumba to HIIT exercises.
