I don't know about you, but I'm sweaty year-round. Not only during the spring and summer months, when the sun is blazing and it's over 80 degrees, but also during the fall and winter, when I'm in my warmest cashmere sweaters. And Working out? A whole other nightmare! While almost every part of me gets drenched at some point throughout the year—I'm talking my scalp, my feet, the space under my boobs—my underarms stay fully dry, thanks to my Duradry review of the brand's three-step system.

After testing this collection for seven days straight in the summer of 2022, I can confirm at least one thing: These three products, which are formulated to attack your sweat and odor, leaving no chances for cringey armpit stains on your favorite tops, actually work. Here is everything you need to know about these cult favorites.

What Is Duradry?

Duradry is a brand that aims to solve wet pits in just one week with products formulated with at least 70 percent naturally derived ingredients, like hydrogenated castor oil, camellia sinensis (green tea) leaf extract and aloe barbadensis (aloe vera) leaf juice, to name a few.

Its three-step system, which consists of Duradry wash, Duradry AM deodorant and Duradry PM gel, is its most popular item, with nearly 2,000 5-star reviews on Amazon, most of which claim that it's the "best thing that ever happened" to them.

How to Use the Duradry 3-Step System

To use the Duradry three-step system, each morning, for at least seven days, clean your pits with the Duradry wash (you can do this in the shower), swipe a couple of layers of the AM deodorant and start your day. Then, before bed, for at least four consecutive nights, clean your underarms with the wash again, but this time, apply a pea-sized amount of the PM gel 30 minutes later before hitting the sack.

A pro tip? According to the brand, trimming your armpit hair can improve results, but if you decide to do this, you'll want to wait at least 24 hours to apply the PM gel. Also, you should only use this system when you need to get your sweat under control, since each time you use it could provide at least six weeks of sweat relief (something I'm happy to report is true).

My Review

So, does Duradry actually solve wet armpits within one week? Yes—I even noticed results on the first day. I overheat very easily, and I've ruined a few shirts because of it, especially during the summer in the blazing heat. But when I used the three-step system in New York in July 2022 (one of the city's hottest months of the year), I was able to get away with throwing on short-sleeve tops and T-shirts in 90+-degree weather minus any embarrassing underarm sweat stains.

I will say that using the wash and the gel felt like an extra step, but the wash is just like any thick deodorizing body wash and doesn't really have a smell. And guys, a little goes a long way in cleansing your pores from the inside out—plus, you can use it anywhere on your body. I only used it under my arms and didn't experience any itching or rash afterward.

The AM deodorant stick, meanwhile, is my favorite product from the system. It's available in several fragrances (Barça, Clear Sky, End Game and Limitless). I tried Clear Sky, a subtle leafy green and white vanilla fragrance. It's not an invisible deodorant, as it did leave a white cast, but that's how I figured it was working (which it did, keeping my pits from sweating and getting smelly while I was living my hot girl summer).

As for the PM gel, it basically trains your underarms to sweat less overnight. It doesn't have a scent, but Duradry warns that you may experience itching within the first few days of using it. The first night I tried it, I had minimal itching, and I didn't feel anything by night two. That's likely because I ensured my underarms were completely dry, which Duradry highly suggests.

After a full week of following the instructed routine, I stopped using the products and went back to layering on my favorite Dove Clinical Protection antiperspirant deodorant. Then, a week later, I had not felt a single drip of sweat down my underarm, and the area felt smooth as an added bonus.

As you'd probably guess, I've been happily using it since. And I'm thoroughly enjoying the thought of never ruining a shirt because of wet armpits again.
