Whoops: Winona Ryder and Keanu Reeves Just Remembered They’re Married

Winona Ryder and Keanu Reeves make a great on-screen pair (evidence: Bram Stoker’s Dracula and A Scanner Darkly). Welp, it turns out their relationship has what it takes to go the distance IRL, too. 

During an interview promoting their upcoming film Destination Wedding, Ryder had the strangest revelation: She married Reeves 25 years ago while making Dracula and totally forgot. Shocked? Same here. Let’s start from the beginning.

The Stranger Things star realized that she and the John Wick actor may be husband and wife and told Entertainment Weekly, “We actually got married in Dracula. No, I swear to God I think we’re married in real life.”

She went on to clarify (jokingly?), “In that scene, Francis [Ford Coppola] used a real Romanian priest. We shot the master and he did the whole thing. So I think we’re married.” Um, whoa?

Reeves was just as startled by this development as we were and couldn’t quite recollect getting married. So, Ryder reminded him that they wed on Valentine’s Day in 1992. Suddenly, he, too, remembered and exclaimed, “Oh my gosh, we’re married.” 

Destination Wedding hits theaters August 31. May we suggest the premiere party doubles as their long-awaited wedding reception?
