Twenty-nine years after Bill and Ted embarked on their first excellent adventure, the iconic duo are teaming up again for the highly anticipated—drumroll, please—Bill & Ted 3.
A third installment of the franchise, titled Bill & Ted Face the Music, is officially in the works. To top it off, Keanu Reeves (Ted) and Alex Winter (Bill) are set to reprise their bodacious roles as the time-traveling twosome. Wicked!
The pair announced the news by releasing a video, in which they discuss the new film in front of the Hollywood Bowl. “It is all because of you guys, and we owe you a huge debt of gratitude, and we want to say thank you,” Winter says in the clip. “Be excellent.”
Bill & Ted Face the Music will feature middle-aged Bill and Ted struggling to live up to the greatest song they ever wrote. That all changes when a visitor from the future says that only their song can save the human race. Dun dun dun…
With the help of their daughters, the metalheads embark on (yet another) time-traveling adventure to seek inspiration for the supposed hit. Hilarity ensues.
Bill & Ted Face the Music follows Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure (1989) and Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey (1991).
