In case you missed it, Rachel McAdams and her boyfriend of two years, screenwriter Jamie Linden, are expecting their first child.
Sure, we’d be lying if we didn’t admit to being slightly bummed that the baby isn’t Noah Calhoun’s Ryan Gosling’s, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t interested in learning more about the man who captured Regina George’s heart. Here, everything you need to know about McAdams’s baby daddy.

Yep, he and the New Girl actress started dating in 2012 and broke up two years later.

Believe it or not, Linden credits the hit CBS show as his big break. The 37-year-old attended a taping, won $5,000 and the rest is history.
He said, “The money actually helped me stay in California longer than I had planned. I was applying to grad school and simultaneously writing my first script.”
4. Did we mention he was only 24 years old?
You know that first script? Well, 24-year-old Linden sold the project to Warner Bros., and it ended up being made into the 2006 hit film We Are Marshall starring Matthew McConaughey. Casual.
5. They started dating in 2016.
McAdams and Linden were first photographed as a couple in 2016. Although they have yet to attend a red-carpet event together, we can only hope this baby announcement is the first of many milestones.
