The New ‘Where’d You Go, Bernadette?’ Trailer Is Finally Here, and It’s Cate Blanchett vs. Kristin Wiig

We're not sure where she went, but we can't wait to get tickets to this movie…

Where'd You Go, Bernadette?, the highly anticipated novel-to-movie adaptation from Annapurna Pictures, just released its second full-length trailer. In the new preview, we get a good look at Kristin Wiig's character Audrey, a neighbor to Cate Blanchett's Bernadette from their quiet Seattle suburb.

The movie, directed by Richard Linklater (BoyhoodDazed and Confused), is based on the Maria Semple best-selling novel from 2012 about Bernadette Fox (Blanchett), a world-renowned architect who, after 20 years of retirement, is finally ready for her second act…which brings her to the ends of the earth after disappearing from her home for an exciting adventure to rediscover her passion for her work and life. But not before Wiig's Audrey has quite a bit to say about it (Wiig even hires a blackberry-bush specialist to tame the monstrosity that is growing in Bernadette's yard).

Just us, or are you getting major SNL ultimate one-upper Penelope vibes from this Wiig character, too?

Billy Crudup, Emma Nelson, James Urbaniak, Judy Greer, Troian Bellisario, Zoe Chao, Claudia Doumit and Laurence Fishburne also star alongside Wiig and Blanchett.

The movie is set to premiere on August 16, 2019, though it was originally set for March and got pushed back for scheduling reasons (whatever that means).

Sure, this film looks great and all, but what we really want to know: Anyone else digging Blanchett's new 'do?
