Trader Joe’s Now Has an Allergy-Friendly Alternative to Reese’s Cups

When it comes to candy, it’s pretty hard to beat a peanut butter cup. The combination of chocolate and PB is a classic for a reason, and some might argue that it’s the best candy, full stop. But unfortunately, that kinda leaves anyone with a peanut allergy in the dust.

Leave it to Trader Joe’s to come up with an equally tasty alternative: Dark Chocolate Sunflower Seed Butter Cups.

The name is a mouthful, but the ingredient list is short: fair trade dark chocolate plus sunflower seed butter that, according to TJ’s, has been salted and sweetened just enough to cancel out any potential bitterness. They’re also gluten-, dairy-, soy- and tree-nut-free, making them one of the most allergy-friendly snacks we’ve ever encountered.

Each two-pack of sunflower butter cups is just $1 at Trader Joe’s, so you don’t have to feel guilty if you don’t want to share.
