Taylor Swift fans finally know what significance the date April 26 holds: new music.
Today on her Instagram Story, the "Bad Blood" singer posted an hourly countdown to April 26 at midnight. "We've commissioned this butterfly mural to be painted on a wall in Nashville and put clues about the new song and new music,” Swift said in the accompanying video, adding that the mural was painted by angel wings artist Kelsey Montague.
After a series of clues about the location, Taylor Swift showed up to greet fans at the Nashville mural, rocking an off-the-shoulder blue outfit with tiny butterfly embellishments and her new hot pink hair tips. The pastel-colored mural of a butterfly features the word "Me!" above it. "New era, new ME," one fan captioned a post with the picture of Swift posing in front of the mural.
Two weeks ago, on April 13, the 29-year-old singer posted a picture of a heart with the date of April 26. Since then, her Instagram has been filled with heart and sparkle motifs and pastel-colored everything (including her Time 100 Gala dress), which drove fans wild with theories about her new aesthetic as a hint of brand-new music.
Swift hinted that more info about her new music would be coming tonight on ABC, where she will appear live from Nashville with Robin Roberts during the 2019 NFL Draft, according to the singer's caption. Could this be the release of Swift's seventh studio album (nicknamed TS7 by her loyal Swifties)?
BRB, setting our DVR. (And staying up 'til midnight for the possibility of the TS7 surprise album drop.)
