Taylor Swift Is About to Be Honored with Another Huge Award: Artist of the Decade

Taylor Swift is set to receive another major award, and we really, really need to calm down.

The 29-year-old singer will be honored with Artist of the Decade at the 2019 American Music Awards. The show will air on November 24 on ABC and will feature Swift performing some of her biggest hits. (Think everything from “You Belong with Me” to “Blank Space” and “ME!”)

The honor should come as no surprise to dedicated Swifties. Not only is the musician nominated for five AMAs, but she also holds the record for the most wins by any female artist. NBD.

According to Mark Bracco—the executive vice president of programming and development at Dick Clark Productions—naming Swift the Artist of the Decade was a no-brainer.

“Taylor’s impact on music this decade is undeniable and her performances on the American Music Awards have been truly spectacular,” he said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to honor her as our Artist of the Decade and can’t wait for her to blow everyone away with an epic, career-spanning performance unlike any other!”

Throughout her career, Swift has won 24 American Music Awards. She’s currently tied with Michael Jackson for the most wins by any artist—male or female.

However, that will likely change after the upcoming ceremony, since Swift is nominated for five awards: Artist of the Year, Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist, Favorite Adult Contemporary Artist, Favorite Music Video (“You Need to Calm Down”) and Favorite Pop/Rock Album (Lover).

*Slow clap*
