Taylor Lautner Confirms Fiancée Taylor Dome Is Taking His Last Name

When it comes to the name Taylor Lautner, we're about to be seeing double.

The 30-year-old Twilight actor, who announced his engagement to nurse Taylor Dome last November, has just confirmed that his fiancée will be taking his last name, which means that her name will also become “Taylor Lautner.”

Lautner revealed this tidbit while visiting The Kelly Clarkson Show, where he joked, “We’re literally going to be the same person.”

It all started when Clarkson pointed out that the two share the same first name, and Lautner laughed and said, “We either keep it super simple or super complicated.” He also noted that their friends differentiate between them by calling him “Taylor” and his fiancée “Tay.” And sometimes they'll refer to Lautner as “boy Tay” and Dome as “girl Tay.”

Lautner also revealed that he proposed to Dome in their kitchen. He filled the room with flowers and hung up a neon sign that said “Lautner.” Upon hearing this information, Clarkson joked that he hung up the sign to be like, “Are you into this last name?”

Lautner then laughed and said, “Cause we already share one name, so it's gonna extra complicated...it's ridiculous.” He kiddingly added, “I'm a narcissist.”

The couple celebrated their engagement with a party back in May, which Lautner documented on Instagram. He shared a video of moments from the event and captioned it, “Engagement party.”

Lautner also celebrated their engagement last fall with a sweet post, where he wrote, “Cannot wait to spend forever with you @taydome You love me unconditionally. You don’t put up with my [crap]. You calm me when I’m anxious. You make me laugh way too much. You make every single day spent with you so special. And most importantly, you make me a better person. I can’t thank you enough for what you’ve brought to my life. I love you forever.”
