HBO Just Dropped the First Trailer for ‘Succession’ Season 3

It looks like Nicholas Braun wasn’t lying when he said that Succession season three was coming “by the end of the year.”

On Tuesday, HBO finally dropped the first teaser trailer for the third installment of the popular series and we’re in store for some major family drama. In the short clip, things seem to kick off right where season two left off, with the Roy family picking up the pieces after Kendall surprisingly threw his dad under the bus for his illegal dealings in its cruise division.

The footage begins with Kendall going to meet the members of his family at the Waystar Royco office where he’s met with a very unhappy Logan Roy. “He’s our dad, but he was going to send me to jail,” Kendall tells his siblings in another part of the video. “He’d do the same to all of us.”

The teaser also seems to hint at Shiv’s internal battle with whether or not to join her older brother “for the revolution” against their dad. “Do you want to be on the side of good? Or evil?” Kendall asks his sister. Of course, we also see continuous growth in the alliance between Tom and cousin Greg. Watch the clip below.

Just like we thought, all of the key players will be returning for the third season, including Brian Cox (Logan Roy), Nicholas Braun (Greg), Kieran Culkin (Roman Roy), Sarah Snook (Shiv Roy), Jeremy Strong (Kendall Roy) and Matthew Macfadyen (Tom Wambsgans). In addition, Adrien Brody and Alexander Skarsgård have joined the cast.

While we still don't have an official release date for the season three premiere, the end of the trailer reveals that the latest installment will be coming “this fall.” And we can’t wait.
