This Bedtime Story Is Putting Grown Adults to Sleep in Minutes

Having trouble nodding off at night? (Us, too.) Well, a new audio story may be just the thing to send you off into the land of Nod.

Narrated by the soothing voice of actor Stephen Fry (you’ll recognize him from the Harry Potter audiobooks and as Hugh Laurie’s BFF), the 24-minute snoozefest was created by the meditation app Calm.

Called “Blue Gold,” this bedtime story for grown-ups takes you on a lazy walk through a lavender field in Provence. Before you know it, you’ll feel drowsy and drift into a deep slumber, say the app creators.

“We challenge anyone to stay awake for all 24 minutes of this sleep-inducing masterpiece by Stephen Fry,” the company wrote on its website.

Challenge accepted.

The relaxing bedtime story has been launched alongside a lavender-and-chamomile-based Sleep Mist. Listen to the story here or download the app here.
