A Teaser Trailer for ‘Spider-Man: Far from Home’ Is Here, and We *Finally* Have a First Look at Jake Gyllenhaal’s Character

Remember when Jake Gyllenhaal first joined Instagram with his epic post about Spider-Man: Far from Home? Well, he’s back with a first look at his character and yeah…he’s definitely not playing Spider-Man (duh).

Marvel has been more than busy the past few months releasing trailers for their upcoming films, including Avengers: EndgameCaptain Marvel and now the first teaser trailer for Spider-Man: Far from Home. In the first clip of the upcoming sequel, Tom Holland reprises his role as the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, only this time, he’s going international.

The trailer has everything from budding romances (between Spidey and MJ, of course), a meeting between Peter and Nick Fury (!) and an action-packed first look at a new bad guy, Mysterio (Gyllenhaal)—a villainous master of illusion. When the news first broke, we didn’t really know what to expect from the 38-year-old actor as a bad guy. But now, we are totally on board. “You don’t want any part of this” he says (his only line in the clip).

Umm, yes we totally do. You know where we’ll be on July 5.
