What’s Next for Sophie Turner & Maisie Williams? The ‘GoT’ Stars Have a New Project in Mind

Now that Game of Thrones has come to an end, Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) and Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) are considering a project of their own.

Turner recently sat down for an interview with Jessica Chastain for Vogue Paris, where she took the opportunity to reveal that she and her on-screen sister already have their next movie in mind. However, it isn’t any ordinary flick starring Sansa and Arya Stark—it’s about their real-life friendship.

“My best friend Maisie, she and I have a very intense friendship, a friendship that I haven’t had with any of my other girlfriends before,” Turner said. “We felt like we wanted to write a movie about a friendship where it’s kind of like you’re soulmates, but you’re friends and it’s like this beautiful connection but it can also be quite destructive.”

The 23-year-old actress went on to say that she hopes to one day helm her own project, adding: “As an actor, you can only have so much creative control. I want to be able to have full creative control and create my own vision and that’s something I’m quite passionate about.”

Although she and Williams haven’t developed a script for their autobiographical film (at least not yet), Turner admitted that she recently purchased a book “to teach myself” about screenwriting, so there’s hope.

Hey, we’ll take what we can get.
