Sophie, Countess of Wessex, *Also* Wore a Striking Dress at the Commonwealth Day Services

If you follow the royals, then surely, you’ve seen the Commonwealth Day service outfits. There was Kate Middleton’s ruby red Catherine Walker coat (a royal rewear!) and flowered fascinator. There was Meghan Markle’s green Emilia Wickstead caped dress and ornated netted fascinator (a Princess Diana nod!). And, then there was Sophie Countess of Wessex’s stunning white and navy Suzannah number.

Many of us missed the 55-year-old countess’s outfit due to the fact that the Commonwealth Day service marked the 38-year-old Duchess of Sussex’s last official royal engagement and the first time she reunited with the 38-year-old Duchess of Cambridge publicly in months. Regardless, Sophie’s ensemble really shined.

She selected a white long-sleeve mockneck Evangeline midi dress ($2,388) with a swath of navy from British label Suzannah for the occasion. She paired the frock with a matching navy Jane Taylor hat, as well as navy heels and a navy clutch. Sophie swept her hair into an understated elegant chignon and accented the look with pearl drop earrings and a diamond brooch. Interestingly, she also wore a watch, which you don’t often see on a royal.

The Countess of Wessex has been a fan of Suzannah for a hot minute. She first donned a dress from the brand at the June 2019 Royal Ascot and selected a frock from the collection to celebrate the Order of the Garter later that month. Middleton wore a white Suzannah midi shirtdress herself for a surprise appearance at the 2019 Wimbledon games. The duchess most recently sported a Kelly green and white printed dress from the label (that’s still available!) during her royal tour of Ireland earlier this month.

Um, looks like we need to start doing some Suzannah shopping.
