Williams’s topper is from the pre-Roberto Tisci days of Burberry, and hit the scene in the finale of the fashion house’s 2014 fall/winter show. Following its debut, every fashion “it” girl, from Cara DeLevingne to Sarah Jessica Parker, immediately swooped up one of their own monogrammed versions. It appears Williams did, too.
Sadly, the cape is no longer available, but you can get a similar blanket coat look with the Burberry Prorsum mega check wool and cashmere cape ($1,495). Just don’t forget to get your initials stitched in à la Serena.
Williams paired the lightweight cashmere-wool cape with a burnt orange asymmetrical-hem dress featuring tortoise shell buttons and a V-neck. If you’re digging the look, the Madewell button-front tank sweater dress ($60) and the Ali & Jay Take Me Downtown twist rib dress ($117) put out similar vibes.
She completed her outfit with black suede over-the-knee boots, similar to the Vince Camuto Hailie over the knee boots ($179), Marc Fisher LTD’s Arlette over the knee boots ($240) or Stuart Weitzman’s Lowland OTK boots ($798), all of which are both sexy and cozy.
Suffice it to say, Serena’s fall dressing game is aces.
