Meanwhile, Uptown, Sarah Jessica Parker Is Finally Opening a Shoe Store

We couldn't help but wonder: what would it be like if Sarah Jessica Parker finally opened a brick and mortar shoe shop in NYC?

Well, wonder no more! On Thursday, the actress took to Instagram to reveal the flagship location of a permanent SJP Collection by Sarah Jessica Parker shop. The store will officially open its doors in April at 31 West 54th Street in New York, which was formerly the location of the iconic Manolo Blahnik boutique. If that seems familiar, it is; it's where Carrie Bradshaw often frequented throughout SATC.

“An address familiar to many,” she captioned part of the post. “By sight or its storied history. ‬It sits across the street from @themuseumofmodernart.‬ And takes up great space in my memory vault.‬‪ I never dared dream or boldly imagined that one day, one day it would be a place I get to call home.‬ ‪@sjpcollection.‬ Taking up residence spring 2020.‬”

The big announcement comes on the heels (sorry, had to) of the company’s sixth year in business. The 1,350-square-foot salon will be located on the ground floor of one of the privately-owned townhouses (which also includes an outside garden) and will replace the brand’s current pop-up shop at 6 West 52nd Street and a previous showroom on lower Fifth Avenue.

And while SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker mainly touts shoes, customers can also pick up handbags, perfume and a variety of other accessories. Consider the countdown started.
