Sarah Ferguson Celebrates U.K. Mother's Day with a Special Tribute to Her Daughters

Sarah "Fergie" Ferguson is one proud mom, and she wants the world to know it.

The Duchess of York recently celebrated Mother's Day in the U.K. (also known as Mothering Sunday). She marked the special occasion by sharing a throwback photo of her two daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, on Instagram.

She wrote, "I’m so proud of my girls and the beautiful women and mothers they have grown up to be. I feel extremely blessed to call them mine."

The 63-year-old royal continued, "My darlings, you are my sunshine always & forever. #happymothersday."

The throwback pic shows the royal sisters arriving in Windsor for a service celebrating Prince Philip's 80th birthday. Princess Eugenie is donning a green outfit with a matching purse, while Princess Beatrice is wearing a lavender ensemble. Of course, the siblings are rocking coordinating hair accessories.

One fan commented, "You have good reason to be proud." Another wrote, "You have done a wonderful job of raising independent, strong, kind and caring women."

Ferguson isn't the only mom in the family who celebrated the occasion. Eugenie, who's now expecting her second child with Jack Brooksbank, shared a tribute for her 2-year-old son, August.

The princess posted a fun snap of herself walking with her son and wrote, "I love being your Mumma! Happy Mothers Day! Xx."

Buckingham Palace confirmed the news of her second pregnancy in January, and Fergie wasted no time celebrating the announcement. On IG, she shared a pic of August playing in a puddle and wrote, "You will be sharing puddles, Augie! Superb news, Granny heaven…. So deeply grateful."

In 2021, Ferguson penned an open letter to her daughters—Princess Eugenie (32) and Princess Beatrice (34)—and praised them for being such great mothers.

Per Good Housekeeping, she said, "Every day I thank the universe for allowing me to be your mother. You have always been the blood in my veins. From the time you were wee tots, you made my life complete."

She continued, "I look at how full of humility, laughter and joy you are in your hearts, and I marvel at you both. Now, in you as mothers, I see strength, courage and steadfastness, integrity and goodness, and the way you embrace every challenge and moment. It is an extraordinary feeling when your child becomes a mother."

Sounds like Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie's little ones are in the best hands.
