A Major Clue in the New ‘Game of Thrones' Teaser Is Hidden in Sansa's Hair

The proof is in the hairy details.

Last week, Game of Thrones fans got a treat when HBO dropped the season eight teaser trailer, called “The Crypts of Winterfell.” In it, Sansa can be seen walking through the crypts (ultimately to meet up with Jon and Arya in front of three statues of themselves).

But eagle-eyed fans noticed something special about Sansa’s hair. See, every time Sansa’s hairstyle changed, it indicated a major life change as well. Flashback to season one: Sansa was wearing her hair like Cersei’s. Then, Sansa started to copy Margaery’s hairstyle. Eventually (and the last time we’ve seen her on the show) she was rocking rugged loose braids, just like her mom, Catelyn, as she settled in at Winterfell.

Now, back to the teaser. As Sansa walks down the corridor, her dark auburn braids look eerily similar to Daenerys’s hair. The braids are almost exact replicas of Dany’s hair from “The Long Walk.” And in the short clip HBO released during the Golden Globes ten days ago, Jon introduces Dany and Sansa for the first time as Sansa coldly says, “Winterfell is yours, your grace.”

So, does this hair change mean Sansa’s life is going to take a major turn with the dragon queen in it? Or is it just her way of giving props to her brother’s new GF?

One thing we do know: This is a…Mane of Thrones. (Dun, dun, dun.)
