Rent the Runway Is Getting into the Home Decor Rental Business with West Elm

Rent the Runway has been our go-to for black-tie weddings and important meetings alike for what seems like forever, but the brand just launched a new feature that takes its concept to a whole other level.

The fashion start-up announced this week that it’s partnering with West Elm to bring new meaning to sustainable home decor.

Starting this summer, West Elm bedding bundles will be available to rent through Rent the Runway Subscriptions, meaning you can mix up your bedroom motif whenever you want. RTR subscribers will be able to choose from 26 sets of throw blankets, decorative pillows and coverlets in various colors, sizes and textures. So whether you want to redo your sanctuary in soothing neutrals or throw in some accent pillows, Rent the Runway x West Elm has your back.

But the new partnership doesn’t just have style in mind. Both Rent the Runway and West Elm hope to encourage more sustainable living.

The textile rental program will allow customers to refresh their homes with new, trendy pieces without the environmental impact of swapping out homeware on a whim. (ICYMI: Fast fashion and fast home goods have a devastating impact on our environment.) West Elm also curates materials from local, Fair Trade Certified and sustainable sources to create its products, meaning you can update your abode guilt-free—not to mention inexpensively.

Rent the Runway’s unlimited subscription costs $159 a month and, in addition to West Elm, includes clothing and accessories from designers like Victoria Beckham, Rag & Bone and Reformation.

A Pinterest-worthy home and all the clothes? Now that we can get behind.
