First, there was the birthday tribute post, where Reese Witherspoon's son, Deacon, legit looked like her doppelgänger. Then, there was the IG selfie of the mother-son duo posing with matching smiles. And now, Witherspoon seriously has us thinking that Deacon could double as Ryan Phillippe's twin.
On her Instagram stories, the Little Fires Everywhere actress shared a new snap of her teenaged son and, at first glance, he could actually pass for a younger version of his father, Phillippe.
In what appears to be the living room, Deacon poses in a pair of dark shades with slightly tousled hair, giving us major teen heartthrob vibes. Witherspoon also included a fun retro filter and lightning gif, along with a snippet from MGMT's "Kid."
The post comes just a day after Witherspoon's media company, Hello Sunshine, announced the launch of her new book club app. In a statement, she said, “Since we launched Reese’s Book Club, we’ve shown that our books have the power to spark discussions, make us laugh when we need it most, and bond us over something bigger than ourselves, all while celebrating diverse voices that put women at the center of their stories.”
She continued, "Through Reese’s Book Club App, we are able to forge even deeper connections with our community by providing a new platform for our book club members to engage with these stories and each other.”
As for how it works, Witherspoon will select a new title and announce it on the app on the first Tuesday of each month. In addition to learning about new books, fans can also join virtual discussions, purchase merchandise and participate in surprise giveaways.
