Reese Witherspoon Responds to Emmys Snub in Best Way Possible

ICYMI: The Emmy nominations are in! On Tuesday, the Television Academy debuted a complete list of nominees, and Reese Witherspoon was nowhere to be found. However, although she didn’t land any this year, she still responded with class.

On Tuesday, the 44-year-old actress posted a series of Instagram Stories congratulating those who were nominated, many of whom work on shows that the mother of three stars on and produces such as Big Little Lies, Little Fires Everywhere and The Morning Show.

“Wow what an honor 3 of our Hello Sunshine productions are nominated for a total of 18 Emmys,” she wrote. “I’m so proud of our team who works tirelessly behind the scenes to bring these stories to life. Bravo to all!”

And she didn’t stop there. Witherspoon even took the time to call out the specific nominees, including Jennifer Aniston, Steve Carell, Laura Dern, Meryl Streep and Kerry Washington, stating that she was “bursting for joy” and wanted to hug them all.

Of course, she didn’t forget to mention all of the individuals working behind the camera. “The hair and makeup teams, costume designers, music teams, producers and directors,” Witherspoon continued. “It was such a privilege to work with you all this year! I’d love to take a moment and shoutout these talented, hardworking individuals.”

So, while Witherspoon may not have snagged a nomination for her roles as Elena Richardson, Bradley Jackson or Madeline Martha Mackenzie, we’re loving the team spirit we’re seeing.
