On yesterday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Malek discussed his win at the Golden Globes before addressing the now-viral video, which features the actor approaching Kidman on stage only to be ignored.
In the clip, Kimmel shows the video to Malek, who laughs before saying, “I had not seen that.” (The moment took place after Kidman presented the award for Best Motion Picture to Bohemian Rhapsody.)
Although Malek has known the Big Little Lies star “for years,” he doesn’t blame her for rejecting his greeting. “But in a moment like that, it was very awkward,” he added. “I feel like this is probably haunting me on the internet right now.”
