The internet has been in a frenzy since Priyanka Chopra dropped her surname on Instagram.
Many took it as a sign that she and her husband, Nick Jonas, were already calling it quits. But now, Chopra is setting the record straight with a simple Instagram comment.
On Monday, after Jonas posted black-and-white footage of himself lifting weights, Chopra replied with a flirty comment and wrote, "Damn! I just died in your arms…"
Fans were happy to see that the famous couple were never headed for Splitsville. One follower said, "Yes Queen. You know well how to shut clowns who were speculating about divorce. Love you." Another fan added, "Love them as a couple!!!"
Meanwhile, it caused a bit of a stir among confused fans, who were curious to know why the Quantico star removed 'Jonas' from her name in the first place. (In case you missed it, the actress deleted her married name and it currently just lists her maiden name.)
In response to Chopra's comment, one fan wrote, "Then why did you drop out the surname?"
Although Chopra didn't address this, one follower replied, "Why are you so interested in her surname? You can change yours too... she's not even gonna question you."
Despite all the speculation, it looks like Jonas and Chopra are still going strong after two years. The lovebirds tied the knot back in 2018 with a three-day wedding celebration, including both Christian and Hindu traditions.
While speaking about their marriage, Chopra told Entertainment Tonight, "It’s so amazing to have someone out there rooting for you and you know that that’s your partner and you know that they are always on your team and whatever happens that’s your person and that’s such an amazing security and I loved it."
