KFC wasted no time in sharing the photo, which shows the duke leaning towards the glass window and staring longingly at some KFC (perhaps the crispy chicken tenders?). They captioned the pic, "William whispered quietly to himself: 'Oh, I just can’t wait to be wing'" (referring to the popular Lion King song, "I Just Can’t Wait To Be King"). Then, the company followed up with a second tweet by giving the royal a clever new nickname. They wrote, "I’m sad I didn’t call him His Royal Thighness in the main tweet tbh."
It turns out that KFC isn't the only fast food chain that the royal dad is a big fan of. In 2018, when he attended the Next Generation Impact Entrepreneurs Forum, he revealed that he loved Nando's, a Mozambique-Portuguese-inspired fast food chain. And his go-to order? You guessed it. Spicy chicken.
While speaking with the company's founder, Robert Brozin, at the event, he admitted that his protection officer was the one who introduced him to Nando's, adding, "It's very good."
Here's hoping the duke will get some KFC soon!
