As it turns out, Harry’s friends and close family members sometimes refer to him as “Spike,” (which he also used as an online pseudonym for years but more on that later). Vanity Fair reported in 2019 that the nickname was believed to be a reference to the duke’s old “spiky” hairstyle. Makes sense.
According to Page Six, the Duke of Sussex, 35, reportedly also used the not-so-believable alias “Spike Wells” for his secret Facebook account. The profile had never-before-seen photos of Prince Harry and his then-girlfriend, Chelsy Davy, and was active from 2008 until 2012, when it suddenly disappeared. We don’t know if Prince Harry deactivated the account or deleted it altogether, but either way, it no longer exists.
However, Harry has also been sporting a new nickname the last few months, bestowed on him by Jon Bon Jovi (yes, you read that correctly). ICYMI: the two men teamed up at a recording session in February for a re-recording of Bon Jovi’s song “Unbroken” with the Invictus Games Choir.
