Royal Family Reveals Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles’s Next Big Tour

It seems like just yesterday we were waking up to royal tour announcements every other week. However, since the coronavirus pandemic, major royal tours have understandably become things of the past. Until yesterday, that is, when Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles announced their next trip.

The official Instagram account of the royal family shared the exciting news on Monday, revealing that the couple will be heading to the Middle East, specifically Jordan and Egypt, next month.

“At the request of the British Government, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall will visit The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and The Arab Republic of Egypt from 16th—19th November,” the caption read. Per the post, the tour will center around the current climate crisis and “will explore how leaders can implement commitments following COP26 (2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference).”

The caption continued, “Their Royal Highnesses will visit Jordan in the year that marks both Jordan’s own centenary and 100 years of the UK-Jordan bilateral relationship. The Royal visit to Egypt will highlight the country’s close relationship with the UK, and will provide an opportunity to demonstrate Egypt’s growing commitment to protecting the environment.”

In addition to the announcement, the post also included photos of the prince and duchess during their past visits to the counties, first to Egypt in 2006 and then Jordan in 2016. The trip will mark the duo’s first time back to both countries.

Our royal calendars are officially marked.
