Netflix Is Already Working on a GameStop Stock Movie Starring Noah Centineo

Noah Centineo, AKA our favorite heartthrob from To All the Boys I've Loved Before, is venturing into the world of stocks.

As you might have already noticed, social media has been in a total frenzy over the recent GameStop stock market incident, where a group of Reddit traders managed to get the company's stock to rise by a whopping 135% in a single day. And now, according to Deadline, Netflix is already planning to make a new film about it, starring Centineo.

No other casting news has been confirmed, but so far, we know that Brad Weston will produce the film with Definition Entertainment’s Nick Styne and that Mark Sourian will serve as executive producer. Mark Boal is reportedly in negotiations to write the script, while journalist and tech expert Scott Galloway is in talks to consult.

Netflix has yet to comment on the project, but sources have revealed that the film's purpose is to, per Deadline, "shine a light on the phenomenon of how social media has leveled the playing field and allowed the masses to challenge status quo gatekeepers, for good and bad."

After the GameStop drama caused the stock price to skyrocket, there's been a huge ripple effect on Wall Street. Given that Netflix wasted no time in grabbing the opportunity to recount this chaotic turn of events, we imagine that other streaming services will be following suit.

If you need us, we'll be patiently awaiting more deets.
