American Idol alum Katharine McPhee just posted the most glorious throwback of Meghan Markle in her pre-duchess days, and young Megs certainly knew how to rock a red lip from an early age (which explains the recent bold beauty look she debuted at a Cirque du Soleil performance).
The photo shows a teen (possibly preteen) Markle and McPhee, and the caption reads, “Meghan and I did musicals together as kids. She grew up to be the Duchess of Sussex and I grew up to star on the West End, so same life if you ask me.” Wait, so you’re saying you didn’t marry a Prince and become a member of the British royal family? Nailed it, McPhee.
The photo, which the “Had It All” singer posted Thursday afternoon, serves as a good reminder that Markle was just as ambitious with her beauty lewks as we were still are, and look where it got her. Also, fingers crossed we get a McPhee-Markle reunion (musical? duet?) sometime in the near future.
In the meantime, we’ll just be sifting through old photos of ourselves to see if we knew any celebs. Come to think of it, our cousin kindaaaa looks like Prince Harry. (That counts, right?)
