Meghan Markle Reveals How Archie Is Handling Being a Big Brother

Ever since we were first introduced to Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, we knew he would likely make a great big brother someday. So, we weren’t necessarily surprised to learn from Meghan Markle that he’s a natural at it with his baby sister, Lili.

The mother of two paid a visit to a recent episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. During the segment, she opened up about everything from her kids’ Halloween costumes to the inspiration behind her children’s book, The Bench. Of course, she also revealed how her son, Archie, has adapted to becoming a big brother. Turns out, he “loves” it.

“I think it's just, everyone tells you—well, someone told H and I: 'When you have one kid it's a hobby, and two children is parenting,’” she said to DeGeneres. “Suddenly we realized, 'Oh, right.' Everyone talks about what it's like for the second child, but no one talks about the adjustment for the first child when the second one comes along. So I think they have this moment of, 'Oh, this is fun. Oh, this how it is now.’”

The mom of two also revealed a sweet pic of Archie in the family’s chicken coop, which is located at the couple’s California home. “He's so sweet with the chickens too,” DeGeneres said. “Archie is just such a gentle soul.”

A great chicken keeper and big brother? We knew he would be.
