Meghan Markle surprised us all today when she appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Something else we weren’t expecting? The Duchess of Sussex revealed her kids’ Halloween costumes.
The mother of two paid a visit to Thursday’s episode of the popular talk show. During the segment, she opened up about once attending a post-apocalyptic themed Halloween party where she and Prince Harry dressed incognito to avoid their relationship becoming known.
“It was a post-apocalypse theme [party], so we had all of this very bizarre costume going on, and we were able to just have one final fun night out,” she told the TV host. However, things have definitely changed since then. Now, the couple has two children and chose to spend this year’s holiday quite differently.
"We wanted to do something fun for the kids, and then the kids were just not into it at all," she continued. “Archie was a dinosaur for maybe five minutes.”
DeGeneres, who also happened to be with the couple on October 31, added, “Not even five minutes. Finally, Harry talked him into putting the head on, but Lili was a skunk.”
On Wednesday, the show announced Markle’s Ellen debut and dropped a teaser clip on social media. “A lot has changed since the last time Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex, was on the Warner Brothers lot,” DeGeneres wrote in a tweet featuring the video.
Now if we could only get pics of that dinosaur and that skunk...
