There are many reasons to love footwear brand Rothy’s. Its designs are comfortable, sustainably made, eco-friendly and stylish to boot (pun intended). And if you're anything like us, it's a pretty major plus that Meghan Markle is also a fan. (After all, who doesn't want to have something in common with royalty, even if it's just your shoes?) Now, just in time for boot season, Rothy’s debuted a new style for both plebeians and royals to fawn over: a classic Chelsea boot.
Of course, the new boots aren't entirely classic, just as Rothy’s super-popular flats aren't as basic as you might think. It has a sort of high-top sneaker vibe thanks to a slightly shorter shaft and a knit upper. If you do want a more standard Chelsea feel, the black and white versions are your best bet.
Markle has been spotted in a pair of sleek black Rothy’s of her own (the flats, not the boots) on multiple occasions, including as recently as last year while in Melbourne on her royal tour with hubby Prince Harry.
The new eco-friendly boot comes in eight colors, including a leopard print and funky ice blue and orange combo, all of which are machine washable. If we had to guess, we'd place our bet for Markle's top choice on the timeless black pair, but she's nothing if not full of surprises.
