Did You Catch That Clever Meghan Markle Reference in Last Night’s Episode of ‘Suits’?

If you tuned into last night’s episode of Suits, there’s a good chance you caught the fun little reference to Meghan Markle’s former character, Rachel Zane.

It’s been approximately one year since the 38-year-old left her acting career for a life of royalty, Prince Harry and most recently, motherhood.

But even though the writers had Rachel and her husband, Mike (Patrick J. Adams), move to Seattle to start their own law offices at the end of season seven, she reappeared in the most recent episode. No, not physically, but there was a quick mention of Markle’s new extravagant life.

In the episode, Mike comes back and is asked how his wife, Rachel, is doing. "If I told you how good, you probably wouldn’t believe me," he responds—a clear reference to how Markle has settled into her new royal life.

The show’s official Twitter account also shared the scene. "Turns out Rachel is doing REALLY well," they captioned the post. Yes, we would say so.

Markle starred on the show for more than seven years before leaving to focus on her royal obligations. In a joint interview with Prince Harry after their engagement, she addressed the end of her acting career.

"It's a new chapter," Markle said. "And also, keep in mind, I'd been working on my show for seven years. So we were very, very fortunate to be able to have that sort of longevity on a series. And for me, once we hit the 100-episode marker, I thought, You know what, I have ticked this box, and I feel really proud of the work I've done there. And now it's time to work as a team with [Prince Harry]."

Please, keep the Rachel Zane references coming.
