The British royal family announced early this morning that Prince Philip has passed away at the age of 99. And now, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have released a statement in honor of the Duke of Edinburgh.
Queen Elizabeth revealed the sad news in a statement on the family’s official website and on social media. The message read, “It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle.”
Shortly after the announcement, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who no longer have any active social media accounts, changed the homepage of their official Archewell website to include a message. “In loving memory of His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh 1921-2021.
