Following Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s decision to step back from their senior roles as members of the royal family, fans have eagerly looked for ways to show their support. Thankfully, they’ve found a way to applaud the 38-year-old Duchess of Sussex’s decision while also having an impact on a meaningful cause.

How? Well, supporters have been buying copies of Markle’s charity cookbook, Together: Our Community Cookbook ($12 on Amazon), like hotcakes since news of her departure broke.

The buying frenzy was sparked by political commentator Damon Evans, who addressed negative responses to the couple’s resignation and tweeted that he “watched a load of videos of [Markle] and concluded: it’s not about what they’ve done wrong, it’s about what she represents: feminism, activism, diversity, etc.” He ultimately concluded that the best way fans could show their support of the Duchess of Sussex is to order Together: Our Community Cookbook, which she created with the women of Hubb Community Kitchen.

Since the tweet, the book has risen in the Amazon Books rankings and is now number one in Middle Eastern Cooking, Food & Wine, number two in Cooking for One or Two and number 11 in Celebrity & TV Show Cookbooks. An Amazon UK spokesperson also confirmed to Harper’s Bazaar that there’s been a “considerable increase” in sales of the cookbook over the past week.

In addition to the Twitter campaign, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex also visited Hubb Community Kitchen yet again late last week. The couple shared images on Instagram of their reunion with the group of women who started the community kitchen after the 2017 Grenfell Tower Fire in London took 70 lives. Their caption explained, “With funds from the successful cookbook, they have now been able to share their spirit of community with so many more. The Hubb continues to work with local organizations to build hope, bring comfort and provide not simply a warm meal, but with it, a sense of togetherness.”
