So Fetch: ‘Mean Girls’-Inspired Wine Created by Aaron Samuels Is a Thing That Exists

There’s a 40-percent chance it’s already raining rosé. Mean Girls rosé, that is.

Actor Jonathan Bennett, who played token hot jock Aaron Samuels in the Rachel McAdams and Lindsay Lohan-starring film about a high-school clique, has just entered the wine business with two bottles of Mean Girls-inspired wine.

Cake Wars host Bennett partnered with Nocking Point Wines to create two different blends: “Wednesday Rosé” and “I’m a Red...Duh!” And we can’t get enough of these film references, y’all.

The “Wednesday Rosé” is for Wednesdays (obvi) when we all wear and drink pink, and is a California blend of Grenache, Syrah and Zinfandel for $52 for two bottles (which you can order here). The “I’m a Red...Duh!” wine is a fruity California blend of Syrah and Zinfandel that has “brambly red fruit flavors”with “solid structure”and is $56 for two bottles (which you can order here).

The wines are being sold in honor of the 15th anniversary of the film, which was originally released on April 30, 2004. (Holy god, we’re way too old to still be wearing this Regina George-approved miniskirt.) Mean Girls is still going strong—we mean, it’s still fetch. The Broadway version by Tina Fey (which debuted in 2017) offers a night of #TBTs on “a stage so pink, it makes Pepto-Bismol seem beige.”

Bennett’s also responsible for a Mean Girls cookbook called The Burn Cookbook, out last October (yes, the cash-in opportunities are real and lasting, y’all).

Like Tina Fey’s character, we’re pushers. And we’re going to push you to try these wines even though you can’t sip with us. (JK, you totally can.)
