Martha Stewart Wants to Share the Magic of CBD with Your Fur Family

Martha Stewart has her finger in more pies than we can count. She has a cooking show with her bestie Snoop Dogg, a self-titled magazine and product line, she just released a brand-new lifestyle book titled The Martha Manual, and now she’s getting into the CBD business. Wait, what?

Yep, the 77-year-old domestic doyenne is partnering with marijuana and hemp distributor Canopy Growth to create a brand-new line of CBD products for pets.

For those unfamiliar with CBD, or cannabidiol, it’s a non-psychoactive (aka doesn’t get you high) element found in marijuana that’s lauded for its ability to reduce anxiety and pain. CBD has become a buzzy ingredient in everything from beauty products to chocolate, and now fur families can reap the benefits too.

Stuart, who began her relationship with marijuana-based products thanks to Snoop, is reportedly acting as an adviser to Canopy Growth as it conducts clinical trials and develops products accordingly. A release date for the line has yet to be announced, but pet-tailored products with CBD may be a more cost-effective and natural way to promote calmness and overall wellness in animals.

“I am delighted to establish this partnership with Canopy Growth and share with them the knowledge I have gained after years of experience in the subject of living,” Stewart said in a statement. “I’m especially looking forward to our first collaboration together, which will offer sensible products for people’s beloved pets.”

Ultimately, Stuart will also consult the brand on creating products for people too. TBD whether she’ll also share tips and tricks for throwing high tea parties for people, pets and pals.

Now that’s something we’d like to see.
