Mark Consuelos Gives Wife Kelly Ripa Special Birthday Surprise on Live TV

Mark Consuelos pulled out all the stops for his wife, Kelly Ripa, who just celebrated her 53rd birthday during Monday’s episode of Live with Kelly and Mark. While the morning show duo was hosting the show together live, the Riverdale alum, 52, surprised the love of his life with a very special gift.

In a new clip shared on the Live YouTube channel, Ripa can be seen standing on the talk show’s stage alone while wearing a bedazzled birthday crown with a golden sash that reads, “Birthday Queen,” in black bold letters. 

Then, Consuelos (who looks quite dapper in a black tux and tie) rolls out a Carvel Fudgie the Whale cake, which also happens to be the mother of three’s favorite. “Oh my gosh!” Ripa says upon seeing the birthday cake.

“Happy birthday!” Consuelos tells his wife before giving her a kiss. “I know how much you love your famous Fudgie the Whale cake.” Ripa, who is still smiling from ear to ear, replies, “This is a mega whale cake!” 

Before the segment ends, Consuelos teases there are more “birthday surprises” to come. To keep the festivities going, the All My Children actor dedicated a special bday tribute to his wife on Instagram. 

Along with a celebratory video montage, which featured rare pics and vids of Ripa throughout the years, Consuelos wrote in the caption, “Another trip around the sun for the heart and soul of our family. Happy birthday sexy [hearts] we love you.”
