Mark Consuelos to Make Major TV Appearance (& This One Doesn’t Involve Wife Kelly Ripa)

Mark Consuelos is returning to the small screen. (And no, we’re not talking about Live with Kelly and Mark.)

This week, the 52-year-old actor confirmed that he will reprise his role of Hiram Lodge in tonight’s episode of Riverdale, airing on The CW at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Consuelos celebrated the exciting news by sharing a promotional photo on Instagram to remind viewers what they’ve been missing.

The photo featured Consuelos posing as Hiram Lodge in what appears to be a classroom. The caption read, “He’s Back…. Wednesday 6/28 on the @thecwriverdale.”

The episode, titled “Chapter One Thirty: The Crucible,” is the 13th installment of the show’s seventh—and final—season. While discussing the highly anticipated conclusion, Mark Pedowitz (CEO of The CW) promised fans that Riverdale will get the ending it deserves.

“I am a big believer in attempting to give series that have had long runs an appropriate sendoff,” he said. “We had a long conversation with [executive producer] Roberto [Aguirre-Sacasa] yesterday, who is thrilled by this news, and we will treat the show in the manner it deserves. We want to make sure it goes out the right way.”

Consuelos has starred in six seasons of Riverdale since it premiered in 2017. (He was introduced in season two.) He portrayed a manipulative businessman named Hiram Lodge, who is also the father of Veronica (Camila Mendes). Other cast members include KJ Apa, Cole Sprouse, Lili Reinhart, Madelaine Petsch, Casey Cott, Charles Melton and Vanessa Morgan.

Welcome back, Hiram Mark.
