Today, Robbie shared a snap from the set of the highly anticipated Quentin Tarantino (The Hateful Eight) film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. It may be the dead of summer, but we suddenly want to rock a turtleneck and go-go boots.
Mod ’60s garb aside, there’s no denying the Oscar-nominated actress bears a striking resemblance to Tate, who met her tragic demise at the hands of Charles Manson’s deranged followers in 1969.
Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Damian Lewis (Homeland), Luke Perry (Riverdale), Dakota Fanning (The Alienist), Kurt Russell (Guardians of the Galaxy 2) and Timothy Olyphant (Santa Clarita Diet) also star in the drama. Set in Los Angeles, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood centers on a has-been actor named Cliff Booth (Pitt) who struggles to find his way in the swinging ’60s and just so happens to be Tate’s next-door-neighbor when she’s brutally murdered.
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood hits theaters on August 9, 2019—the 50th anniversary of Tate’s death.
