You’ll Never Guess Which ‘This Is Us’ Star Mandy Moore Says Is King of the ‘Snack Attack’

On screen, the This Is Us cast can make us cry at the drop of a hat. But behind-the-scenes, Mandy Moore says the Pearsons are all about having fun. In fact, she even went as far as to call her co-stars “one big goofy family.”

The 35-year-old This Is Us star opened up about what goes on when the cameras are off in an interview with People.

When they aren’t making us swoon, Moore revealed that she and Milo Ventimiglia (who plays Jack) are prone to “snack attacks.”

Why? Well, as Moore explained, “Milo is an incredible snacker. Often at work, he’ll look at me and he’ll be like, ‘Snack attack?’ And I’ll be like, ‘Snack attack,’ and we’ll go to craft service.”

Although they both love a snack break, Moore pointed out that their taste buds are very different: “He has a different palate than I do. I think we both encourage each other when the time is right to sort of up the sugar ante and we’ll do like Nerds and Sweet Tarts, which is definitely not like my go-to, but for some reason, Milo brings that out at me,” she explained.

When it comes to Sterling K. Brown (Randall Pearson), Moore says he’s the best co-star to turn to for a heart-to-heart. “He’s someone that I know I can go to and have a conversation about the real in life. And he’s always down to lend an ear. He gives great advice. I mean, I’m sure people aren’t surprised by that,” Moore shared.

She also added that his empathy makes him a great leader, so much so that he’d have her full support should he ever run for office. “He’s the ultimate entertainer. If he ran for president, I would vote for him without even thinking about it,” she said.

As far as the co-star who’s most likely to get her in trouble, Moore says that title definitely goes to Justin Hartley (Kevin Pearson). “Justin is the most low-key, unexpectedly funny person, he cracks me up,” she shared.

“It’s a problem working with Justin and [Jon Huertas and Chris Sullivan] because I know I’m just going to be laughing too much, and the makeup team is always pretty upset with me.”

Moore adds, “I know that when I’m in my prosthetics, it’s going to be a problem because the more you talk, move your mouth, laugh, chew and all of that, it sort of breaks them down.”

After that much time in the makeup chair, no wonder the prosthetics team gets frustrated. But how can you get mad at Rebecca Pearson? You just can’t.
