The ‘This Is Us’ Cast Just Shared Brand-New Season 4 Photos—but Where’s Toby?

The Pearsons are almost ready for their grand This Is Us return.

Ahead of the hit NBC show’s season four premiere, stars Mandy Moore, Chrissy Metz, Sterling K. Brown and Justin Hartley offered fans a little amuse bouche by way of several brand-new cast photos. The catch? One very familiar face was missing.

As the most responsible Pearson, Brown (who plays Randall on the show) kicked things off with the first Instagram slideshow. He rightfully captioned the photos of himself with his on-screen family, “The fam is [three fire emojis] #ThisIsUs.”

If you scroll to the second photo, you’ll notice the 43-year-old actor posing along his on-screen wife, Beth (played by Susan Kelechi Watson).

So which member of the family is curiously missing in the cast pic? Toby (aka actor Chris Sullivan).

Hartley, 42, was the next Pearson to share an Instagram slideshow but he made no mention of his missing on-screen brother-in-law.

His caption read, “Some of my favorite people right here. Looking forward to bringing you a new season next month. #ThisIsUs.”

Metz also failed to mention Sullivan’s whereabouts when she posted a slideshow.

The 38-year-old actress simply captioned it, “S•E•A•S•O•N F•O•U•R [heart emoji] September 24th on @nbc #thisisus @nbcthisisus.”

It wasn’t until Pearson matriarch, Moore, shared photos on social media of herself and the rest of the cast that we were able to rest easy about Toby’s fate.

Moore, 35, wrote, “The Pearsons are coming back atcha September 24th and BOY OH BOY it’s gonna be good. Just you wait. (Ps: @sullivangrams is very much still on the show but was out of town for this photo). #thisisus.”
