Kristen Wiig Is Engaged & Has Been for ‘Several Months’

Kristen Wiig has been keeping a major secret, and all we have to say is…How could you!?

The Saturday Night Live star, 45, reportedly got engaged to her beau, Avi Rothman, “several months” ago, according to TMZ. Although we don’t know when the producer popped the question or if she did the asking, Wiig recently wore what appears to be an engagement ring, giving us a loose timeline of events.

The accessory was first spotted back in May at the Los Angeles screening of Booksmart, which Wiig attended with her longtime pal Lisa Kudrow (Friends). No one really noticed that Wiig was wearing a ring on that finger—that is, until the engagement news broke.

So, when did the proposal take place? Although we’re not entirely sure, all signs point to spring 2019.  

Unfortunately, not much is known about Wiig and Rothman’s relationship, since they’ve been notoriously private about, well, everything. Their first public outing took place in May 2016 while the couple was vacationing in Hawaii, though it was clear they had been dating for quite some time.

If true, this won’t be Wiig’s first walk down the aisle. Back in 2005, the actress tied the knot with Hayes Hargrove before announcing their separation in 2009.

If Bridesmaids is any indication, we’d do anything to score an invite to Wiig’s bachelorette party.
