Six years after Bridesmaids was in theaters, Kristen Wiig is back in the writer’s chair alongside Bridesmaids co-writer, Annie Mumolo.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Wiig revealed that she and Mumolo are in the final stages of penning a script for the duo’s next project. She said, “My writing partner and I have been for a long time writing a script, and now we’re [in] final rewrite stage, which is very exciting. It’s called Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar.”
This will be Wiig’s first writing credit since she co-wrote Bridesmaids (2011). No further details about the film have been released, but we’re already wondering whether we’re a Barb or a Star.
