Kristen Bell just asked her two daughters—Lincoln (6) and Delta (4)—to guess her age, and it went really bad, really fast.
In honor of her 39th birthday today, The Good Place star posted a candid video on Instagram in which she asks her children how old they think she is.
In the clip, Bell begins with a simple question: “How old do you think I’m turning?”
Delta chimes in with a confident response, saying, “63.” Lincoln only makes matters worse when she guesses “89.”
When Bell turns to her husband, Dax Shepard, he tries to even the playing field. “I’d say about somewhere in the middle of those two guesses…so 71,” he says. “Is that right?”
Although Lincoln suggests another guess (12), Bell sets the record straight once and for all: “I am turning 39.”
She captioned the post, “My kids are kind. I don’t care if they can’t do math,” along with three grandma emojis.
Bell and Shepard started dating in 2007 and announced their engagement in late 2009. In October 2013, the couple tied the knot in a super-simple courthouse ceremony in Beverly Hills. They welcomed their first child—Lincoln—in 2013, followed by their second—Delta—in 2014.
