King & Queen of Bhutan Share Rare Photos of Their New Royal Baby

These brand-new photos of King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck’s family are totally frame-worthy.

The Bhutanese royals recently shared a series of never-before-seen pictures, featuring the 40-year-old king and his wife, Queen Jetsun Pema, posing with their two sons: Gyalsey Jigme Namgyel (4) and Gyalsey Ugyen (7 months).

In the slideshow, the first photo shows Queen Jetsun Pema holding her two children in front of a colorful background. It’s followed by candid images of the entire family, including a priceless snap of the young royals peering out the window.

The caption explained the significance of the pictures: “1st of November is celebrated in Bhutan as Coronation Day. On this day in 2008, the formal Coronation Ceremony of His Majesty The King as the Fifth Druk Gyalpo of Bhutan, was held. Most memorable for the people was His Majesty’s Coronation Address, which continues to resonate and move our hearts. On this special occasion, we are honoured to share a special set of Kupars.”

The new photos came just a few days after King Jigme Khesar’s half-sister, Princess Eeuphelma Choden Wangchuck, secretly tied the knot with her beau, Dasho Thinlay Norbu. The newlyweds exchanged vows on October 29 at the Dechencholing Palace in Thimphu.

The king announced the exciting news on Instagram and wrote, “Her Royal Highness Princess Euphelma Choden Wangchuck married Dasho Thinlay Norbu in a Royal Wedding ceremony today. The Royal Wedding was held at Dechencholing Palace in Thimphu. The Royal Couple received the blessings of His Majesty The King, His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo and His Holiness the Je Khenpo.”

Cheers to the beautiful family!
