King Charles and Queen Camilla Pose for Special Photo with Another VIP Royal Couple

Royal double date? King Charles III, 74, and Queen Camilla, 75, recently hosted the King and Queen of the Belgians for a special dinner at Windsor Castle, and the moment was documented on the royal family social media accounts.

A photo of the quartet was shared to Twitter and Instagram, along with a caption that read, “This evening, The King and Queen received The King and Queen of the Belgians at Windsor Castle.” The caption also included the flag of the United Kingdom and the flag of Belgium (and it was translated into Dutch and French).

In the snap, King Charles and King Philippe of Belgium, 63, match in navy suits and black loafers. Meanwhile, Queen Camilla wears a blue-and-white patterned dress, while Queen Mathilde of Belgium dons a bright pink and orange pleated dress with a large statement belt. However, the royal ladies did accessorize similarly, with both opting for cream-colored heels.

The British king and queen consort hosted a reception in honor of the Belgian royals, who have had a busy visit to the United Kingdom.

During their time in the U.K., the Belgian royals attended the annual Founder's Day Parade at the Royal Hospital Chelsea. While there, King Philippe donned a military uniform and, as noted by The Daily Mail, the monarch carried out the duties of a Reviewing Officer for the ceremony. According to the official Chelsea Pensioners site, “The Royal Hospital Chelsea’s Founder's Day, also known as Oak Apple Day, is always held on a date close to 29th May—the birthday of Charles II and the date of his restoration as King in 1660.”

Prior to their visit, the Belgian royals hosted their own guests only a couple weeks back, when King Philippe received Stevo Pendarovski, the North Macedonia President, at the Royal Palace of Brussels.
