Does a New Photo of Kelsey Grammer Contain Proof that a ‘Frasier’ Reboot Is Actually Happening?

It appears Kelsey Grammer has his eyes on the prize. (And by prize, we mean a Frasier reboot.)

It all started earlier today when TMZ obtained a photo of the 64-year-old actor in London. Upon closer inspection, it’s clear that Grammer is holding a binder that—in true elementary school fashion—has a cover page with “Frasier” visibly written on it, along with the star’s production company, Gramnet.

So, what does it all mean? We think the Frasier reboot is officially a go, with writers mapping out the show’s return. Although it could take a while for Grammer and his team to finalize the script, the fact that he has a binder labeled “Frasier” is leading us to believe that he’s further along than he’s letting on.

This isn’t the first time we heard about a potential revival. Back in July 2018, Deadline reported that Grammer was in talks to revive the Emmy Award-winning series with the entire original cast. The Cheers alum was allegedly meeting with different writers to home in on a concept for the follow-up, and it appears it was a success.

Frasier originally premiered in 1993 and ran for 11 seasons on NBC. It followed a successful Boston therapist, Dr. Frasier Crane (Grammer), who moves back to his hometown of Seattle, Washington, for a fresh start. In addition to Grammer, the series also starred Jane Leeves (Daphne Moon), David Hyde Pierce (Dr. Niles Crane), Peri Gilpin (Roz Doyle) and John Mahoney (Martin Crane).

If Frasier returns to the small screen, it would join the likes of Will & Grace, Murphy Brown and Roseanne, er, The Conners, all of which recently came back from the TV graveyard.

All we have to say is…more Niles Crane!
